Alright, so I don't have time to write a real blog for Jakarta, but I felt like I was leaving a blank in my blog and I don't like that. But to sum things up...Jakarta isn't nearly as bad as I thought! Sure, you can smell the pollution in the air...but it has a nice and big and surprisingly clean central square, and the tourism district is very pleasant and friendly. So overall I wasn't sure why everyone said they "just wanted to get out of Jakarta as soon as possible". Of course I realise that I didn't see the sadder sad of Jakarta, the poorer areas, the old town which is beautiful but falling apart (from what i hear)...but still, it's good to know that it isn't all bad. I also had heard so much about the awful traffic in Jakarta and I expected it is be difficult to get to the airport...but it was the simplest and cheapest shuttle bus service I have seen so far...so no complaints there either. :)

I guess Jakarta is a victim of a bunch of people who have the authority writing travel guide books...once they speak their hatred about this city people just echoing and echoing without trying to understand what this great city can offer...:)
