Scooters!!!
I rented a scooter for 10 cdn dollars and I was off to discover Lanta. My first stop was the village of Lobahra and the Mangrove Forests. As I approached the Mangroves I could see the rain approaching on the horizon. For the first time in 3 weeks I felt a cool breeze. It was short lived, but marvelous ;)
Between Lobahra and Thung Yee Pheng I stumbled across fishing huts. This made me chuckle, I'm thousands of miles away from thunder bay and standing in front of a fishing hut. Perhaps Thai people are not unlike many northern Ontarians. I pictured Pete and I fishing for Walley at Lac De Milles suddenly became home sick.
Lanta Old Town was deserted, I was the only tourist for miles and miles. Which was very nice, I was enjoying the solitude. If you head to the old town pier, you can see Ko Nui, Ko Bu Bu, and Ko Po. I'd recommend it, because the view took my breath away.
Around 11am my stomach started to rumble and I stopped at the Panorama Restaurant for a mango smoothly and watermelon. Its truly Paradise here!!!
