Where I stayed
The public ferry is located just 10 Min's from the Ibis Riverside and costs 8baht to cross. From the public ferry you can take the "speed ferry" for 30 baht. The "speed ferry" will take you along the river and stops at various piers. We were after Pier 8, and off to see the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew.

Wat Arun was the original home of the Emerald Buddha and has a beautiful 82m high prang (Khmer style). If you are feeling up to it, you can climb up the steps for a fantastic view of Bangkok.
