Happy Thanksgiving everyone.  Harry and I launched "Newhouse" a couple of days ago from Joe Wheeler State Park and Marina on her maiden voyage.  We left with two other cruisers, Jim and Barbie on their 28' Hunter and Jack on his 43' Albin.

We are making our way back to the entrance to the Tenn-Tom Canal which will take us to the Gulf of Mexico in Mobile Alabama.

The weather is marvelous and no rain the the near future.

"Newhouse" is running like a champ.  Almost 8 miles to the gallon and we are running about 6 miles an hour.  And, yes, this is a sailboat but we can't sail in the channel as it's too narrow.   Won't shake out the sails until we get the Gulf which is about 400 miles down the river.

It's great to be back on the water and seeing all these wonderful sights.  Fall colors are just about over but it's still grand.
