Just a quick note to let everyone know that we are still alive after all the tornadoes that went through this area on wednesday. Joe Wheeler state park and the marina where we are did not loose power. We had sirens at 4 Am and went into the park lodge. Not too many folks in the lodge so we had a small group and the staff and security.
Around 12:30 during lunch we had a tornado pass within sight of the marina and we were all in an underground room in the lodge. I went to a window briefly and took a short video but the park Superintendent told us I had just missed one that passed on the other side of the cove from the marina. I missed getting it on video by about 30 seconds it appears.
We walked about 5 miles into town this morning in beautiful weather.
We don't have tv so I'm sure that you folks know more about what happened in the area than we do.
Still here and kicking.

must have been a wild ride, how did it compare to our hurricanes?
So glad and grateful you guys are ok - you certainly have a knack for finding interesting weather:)
I wondered how you all fared through the flooding, and then worried when I heard about the tornadoes. Thanks for the quick update, glad to know you two are OK.
