Tue July 19 2005
Edinburgh, Scotland to Dublin, Ireland
I spent the entire morning walking parts of Edinburgh I hadn't explored before. I definitely went though non-touristy and residential areas since there was no one around! Towards the middle of the day, it was time to go back to the hostel, get my luggage, and go back to the AIRPORT! I arrived with enough time to catch my flight to Dublin, Ireland. Once in Dublin, I didn't have much of the day left. I ended up cleaning up and having dinner at the Temple Bar area. It didn't seem like it was such a good idea for me to be walking alone so I decided to call it an early night once again.

Wed July 20 2005
Dublin, Ireland
Fully recharged, I hit the streets of Dublin with no specific direction. I will shamefully admit however, that I went to the mall and did some shopping BUT, I also did some impressive sightseeing. I walked through Trinity College, Grafton Street, St. Stephen's Park, Dublin Park, and St. Patrick's Church. I started walking in the direction of the Guinness Brewery, apparently a Dublin must-see when I realized it wasn't a "must-see" for me especially since I don't drink beer and I had already visited the Heineken museum in Amsterdam.
This evening, I befriended a few of the ladies that were staying with me in the hostel. Eva, from Spain, invited me out as did the girls from France: Axel, Agat, and Lore. What I realized in conversing with the French girls was that I could speak French good enough to be understood but when it came to understanding their flawless French, I experienced great difficulty. At any rate, I now had a plan! I'd go out with Axel, Agat, and Lore and would meet up with Eva later on.
About five minutes into our walk into the Temple Bar area, the most BIZZARE thing happened once again. If running into Michael in Amsterdam wasn't crazy enough, I ran into Naomi and Mark who were having some coffee along side the road. Mark and I made eye contact and after a few seconds, we both had an "ah ha!" moment. I met Mark and Naomi (from England) during my travels in New Zealand. I couldn't believe it! The French ladies looked a bit puzzled but I told them to go on without me. Naomi, Mark, and I ended up having a drink and catching up over the events of the last year and some change. It was wonderful relive our great adventures from the other side of the world! After a while, Naomi and Mark walked me back to the hostel.
At the hostel, I found Eva in the living room area where she introduced me to her friends. We ended up hanging out for a while before it was time to make it back to the Temple Bar. There were went dancing to a club and then made our way to Boomerang. About 5 minutes into our stay, I decided to have a picture taken with Eva. As we posed, some IDOT dropped my camera and CRACKED the LCD screen!! By this time, it was already 2:30a.m. and I decided it was time to call it a night. My flight back to Copenhagen would be departing at 7a.m. anyway. So off to the airport I went arriving nearly at 4a.m.
