Warsaw to Berlin
From about 8a.m. to 6p.m. we made the LONG 600 kilometer voyage from Warsaw to Berlin. Other than ludicrous restroom pit stops, our journey was relatively uneventful. As we rolled into Berlin, we were taken to the area that has the greatest remaining stretch of the Berlin wall. The Berlin Wall (German: Die Berliner Mauer) was a long barrier separating West Berlin from East Berlin and the surrounding territory of East Germany. The East German authorities called it the "antifaschistischer Schutzwall" (Anti-Fascist Protection Wall). Its purpose was to restrict access between West Berlin and East Germany. It was built in 1961 and fortified over the years, but was opened to unrestricted transit on November 9, 1989 and subsequently almost entirely demolished
By then, we didn't have much more energy than to had dinner and to enjoy another mysetery beer at the halls we had visited two weeks earlier.

Berlin
Alas, our final day as a group had come. We spent the entire day touring Berlin with an excellent guide by the name of Henry. Some highlights included:
* Going to the Olympic Stadium where the games of 1936 were held.
* Learning of Berlin's history
* Humboldt Square- place where Nazi's burned millions of books prior to their demise
* Went to the area where Hitler's Bunker was The site is now surrounded by apartments and is unmarked as to avoid anyone even contemplating using it as some sort of memorial. I would strongly recommend watching:______ This is an exceptional film which captures the last few days of Hitler's reign of terror.
* Holocaust Memorial- was rececently opened
* Checkpoint Charile Museum-
After another chaotic and intense day, we had our last dinner as a group and then where taken bar hopping. I called it quits pretty early since I only had a few hours to pack and leave for my flight to Amsterdam!
