Got to Toledo about an hour ago and am already writing an entry.  WHY? You all may be wondering, it's because the hotel here is kind of gross (#3 out of 19 on tripadvisor - makes you wonder what nos. 4-19 are like) and there's nothing much around this place.   Bob had an anxiety attack because he thought there was no internet and when he found out there was, immediately sought to look for another place to stay.   It's also difficult to get back in the car with Isabel and Sophie to drive around looking for food etc. and I am not inclined to leave all our stuff in the sketchy room.  I'm so happy I brought along Isabel's pack and play and that I have a TON of disinfectant wipes (for those of you who think I'm overreacting, you need to come see the black stuff that was on the phone receiver but maybe it's gotten up and walked away).

A GREAT BIG THANK YOU has to go out to Bob's mom for making us food to take with us, or we would be starving today.  Hotel bashing aside, it turned out to be a beautiful day in Erie after the thunderstorms passed through and we managed to take a drive out to Presque Isle State Park, stopping for a picnic lunch at one of the beaches.  The view of lake Erie was awesome, we wished we could have stayed to spend the day on the beach. On the way there, we passed a waterpark which had a roller coaster crossing over the road leading to the park (scary). Bob had to drive past the Presque Isle State Park sign 3 times so I could get a pic for this blog :). After lunch, we headed for Cleveland and stopped to look at the rock and roll hall of fame (couldn't go inside because of the dog - this is going to be a common theme throughout this trip).  For those of you I used to work with, I saw the GIANT keybank building in Cleveland, impressive - it was the tallest building there. There's also Fifth-Third Bank here in Toledo and they have sports stadiums named after them.  I guess they're big in Ohio.  The highway was filled with Semi trucks, including the largest truck I've ever seen, it was a fedex truck dragging 3 containers.

Bob is out right now in search of water.  He's been gone awhile probably because there is NOTHING around here.

Trip stats:

Miles driven - 216
Number of stops - 1
Gas price - $4.19 (PA)
No. of bunnies - 0 (Bunny's probably been to Toledo before)
No. of disinfectant wipes used - 5
