Today marks yet another season gone. Labor Day traditionally ends our busy season here at the resort. The weather was truly spectacular for everyone enjoying the park this week-end and we were full to the brim! Not a site was to be had and there were kids and young families everywhere. You had to be very careful while driving the cart around as the kids are not aware or are just to involved with there playing to notice you driving down the road.

Like clockwork the park started to slow down around 1PM. I was lucky and did not have to work at all today as we closed at 2 PM. This was a treat for me as I have been working 7 days a week since May. I only work 3 days a week from now until the end October and need to start getting caught up on my chores around home. Gail has a short list for me I'm sure.

Gail, Baxter and I just returned from our nightly cruise around the resort to see whats going on. Usually this takes us an hour or more before Labor Day. We would stop and talk to many of our friends along the way or Gail, with her never ending gift of gab, would find someone to talk to. We have meet many new and interesting people this past year. We also have made some very good friends that we hope to see again next year. So sad was it to see so many empty sites and closed up trailers that just a few hours ago were full of life. We are here with only a few visitors and staff now during the week. Luckily by the time we start to yurn for the noise of kids and dogs barking Friday will be here and the park again comes to life for the week-end.

Gail informed me that we must find a kennel for Baxter to visit at the end of October. We are cruising again, this time on Oasis of the Seas. God I hate putting him in a kennel. We wish we could find a baby sitter for him and Harry rather then put them in a cage. I think we will go this week and look around. If we can't find anything up to our standards we will have to go to plan B. We just have to figure out what plan B is.

I'll end this entry by saying is yet another season gone or is this the start of a new one? I guess you will have to figure that one out for yourself.
