Yesterday was Doctor day for Gail. She needed to go see her Heart Dr. to schedule the surgery she needs. While doing the exam, the Dr. noticed a change in Gail's heart patterns during the test. Her heart is now beating at a slower rate and not in a steady pattern. She will be getting yet another Cardiac Ablation performed on October 4th at St. Mary Medical Center. At this time the Electro Cardiologist will test her heart and install a pacemaker if needed. He is telling us that this is not a big deal and there is very little to worry about. Easy for him to say!
Gail, as we all know, is and always will be special. In the case of her heart, she was born with a defect that was discovered after a heart attack (sort of) a few years ago. She underwent her first Cardiac Ablation in Philadelphia by one of the best Electro Cardiologist in the country. We were informed that after this procedure that only 1 in a million people ever have any returning symptoms or problems. Well guess who is that 1 in a million! All was well until this March when she had another attack and her heart started beating at over 220 beats per minute. Luckily I was there and got her to the emergency room with-in minutes and they successfully stopped her heart and got her back in rhythm.
So once again we are Hospital bound. I guess for the next few weeks I will have to be on my best behavior. Gail has informed me that I am not to get her aggravated or give her any type of stress at all. This in it self will be a very big challenge for me. I sometimes wonder if Gail enjoys putting me under such stress. But as always, I will give it my best shot.
