When we left Madrona Bay this morning, Pegasus, Bob and DeeDee's Seahorse, just happened to be leaving Ganges Harbor at the same time. Bob called us on the phone and they told us they are heading to Vancouver, where they keep their boat, to pick up some friends then to Victoria for a couple of weeks. After that, back to Grass Valley for the month of July. They will be back in the area in August and heading for the Broughtons. We hope to meet up with them again.
It was a short trip to Montegue Harbor and there were quite a few boats here at 10 AM, but most of them left by noon and new boats have been coming in all afternoon. We are securely anchored just outside of the mooring buoys. We walked the park trail which followed the coast of Grey Island. It was a nice easy, shady walk. On the way we stopped to sit on the beach which is all shell, not sand. Then we went to the marina and checked out the little store and gift shop. We went back to the boat, put up the umbrella on the top deck and enjoyed more sunshine and watching boats come and go. This was a really nice anchorage, and we had fun watching peope and their boats.
