Someone once told me that South Africa was hot and vast. After spending a few days in Kruger National Park I certainly agree. It has been a while since I've experienced temps this high and it takes some adjusting to.

Kruger is big; we drove almost all day for 2 and a half days and probably only saw about 1/10th of the park. You could easily spend a week here but I think 2 days is just fine. It's hard to believe but after a while giraffe and elephant and zebra become commonplace. We were lucky to see a Lions just before leaving the park. That coupled with the Leopard were definitely the highlights of the Kruger visit. The Rhino's were pretty cool too.
