Where I stayed

Prague almost feels like an American City to me. I almost forgot that I was in another country. I suppose you get used to not understanding the conversations of others and most of my attention over the four days I was there was put into trying to receive a shipment from the US. I could write pages about it, but I won't. I spent the better part of a day getting my package cleared through Czech Customs. Imagine going to the DMV and not speaking their language, not being able to understand when they are calling for the next person or calling your number. It was fun.

Prague has castles, and old churches, and monuments too.  After  a while they all seem the same. I really wanted to go to the Communism Museum but never made it. I made a nice day trip to Karlesjan Castle and took a tour. That was the first guided tour I’ve taken so far. I think I was the only person paying attention to the guide.

Now I’m on the train again, and with a proper laptop I can actually type and save things and hopefully keep this thing updated better. It’s good to be moving again as either Prague or maybe more the place I was staying was a bit of a downer. You either meet interesting travelers or just kids going to a different city to party and be annoying in. The key is in choosing the right type of hostel which I need to work on. When I don’t like a place it’s best to get back to travelling and navigating, it’s what I’m good at.

I think I’m going towards the Balkans and the Dalmation Coast.
