Where I stayed
Beachcoma Holiday House
We flew down to Newcastle from Brisbane on Friday 10th September with Aim, Ryan and Stayc, hired a car, and headed out to Caves Beach where we had rented a house for the weekend. What a great spot! We had an awesome 5 bedroom house with a huge deck one street back from the beach and it was just perfect.
Bill, myself, Kristy, Andy, Amy, Ryan, Stayc stayed at the house and we also had Andy's brother and his wife stay with us for a couple of days and many people coming and going so it was awesome to have all of us together hanging out and spending time.
Curt was able to come out on Friday night and spend some time with us all as well and it was a real hoot! Andy and his brother Chris on guitar with Kristy pumping out a few tunes and us others just loving every minute together! Good times!
Caves Beach is a beautiful, quiet spot south of Newcastle. And true to the namesake, there were plenty of caves to explore on the beach at low tide. Such a pretty place and the weather was perfect for us.
Saturday was a perfect day for a wedding! We were blessed with a beautiful sunny day (although it was a little windy). The wedding ceremony was at 3pm at Caves Beach Hotel Resort and it was a beautiful outdoor ceremony on a lovely deck platform with the beautiful beach as the backdrop. Gorgeous spot for a wedding. The celebrant was a Scottish dude (Lynn’s heritage) and he was great. It really was a day to remember! Lynn had her two sisters as her attendants and Curt had 3 of his best mates. Both Curt and Lynn were the epitome of happiness! Curt looked quite dapper in his suit and Lynn looked breathtakingly beautiful! The cocktail style reception was also held at the Caves Beach Hotel Resort so we didn’t have to travel to another venue at all. It was a great night, Curtis sang a lovely song to Lynn - "She" by Robert Palmer, and was accompanied by Kristy. They did an amazing job and I don’t think that there was a dry eye in the house! There was plenty of dancing and a great time had by all! To complete a fantastic wedding, Curt & Lynn are off to Bali for a 10 day Honeymoon.
It was really great to be able to spend quality time with everyone all together for a couple of days. We all had a great time!
