Well for the next couple of days we headed back from the serene Calliope River to Brisbane. We stayed at a free camp at Sharon Nature Park Reserve, between Gin Gin and Bundaberg and did a lovely 2km gorge walk down to the Boyne River. From here we headed to Bundaberg and stopped at the Bundy Rum Distillery and did the tour.  Cost $20 each and was pretty good, especially the two lovely beverages we both had on completion of the tour. (all inclusive). From here, south to Childers for the night.  What a great little town that is!  Pretty laid back and has an awesome energy… loved it!

South again, through Maryborough and headed for the free camp on the Mary River but it was darn full of bloody campers so we continued on and camped behind the hotel at Tiaro.  Another great free camp.  Can you believe it?  We were camped next to a guy from Coffs!

From here, we headed to Gympie, then followed the Mary River Scenic Route up through the mountains and it was so picturesque.  Through the pretty township of Imbil, then on to Kenilworth, a lovely quaint little town.  Camped in the showgrounds here for $12 powered.  This is a gorgeous quiet little town with really welcoming people.  Loved it here.

Back to Brisbane to spend some time at Kristy and Andy's while we prepare for the upcoming wedding!
