Quite temperate weather wise today which is nice. Headed up through Castlemaine which was quite pretty and some beautiful old buildings. The country scenery along the way is quite spectacular. We went north through Bendigo (which is huge!) and noticed that the scenery became a bit bland and boring and then east through Rushworth where we stopped for lunch. What a quiet little town that is! HUGE main street and no people! Then east through Murchison to the Hume Hwy at Violet Town. Quite pretty again along this drive. Next, up the freeway to Glenrowan. Stayed in the local caravan park which was really nice. Arrived about 2:45 and just hung about for the afternoon having a bit of a chill out. Next day was a lazy day… did some much needed washing… had to put it in the dryer! Started pouring! Went into town and had a walk around. Checked out a bit of the Ned Kelly history and visited the sight of the siege where it all ended for him. Very touristy here. Bought a loaf of bread - $5.50!!! - Highway Robbery! Back to the van to chill. We just feel like we want to do nothing for the afternoon. We need to stop for a while I think. Overcast and periods of rain, but not cold surprisingly. Quite pleasant actually. Really nice outlook from the park so quite pleasant to share and enjoy 'beer-o-clock' yet again!
