Meandered south along the coastal road and not the Highway. That was nice. Beautiful quaint little beachside suburbs. Pretty windy today so the ocean does look a little mean in places but doesn't in any way detract from the beauty of the place!  We stopped at Bateman's Bay for a walk around the town centre.  That was nice, needed to stretch as my neck is giving me hell today!  Bateman's Bay is a pretty little spot and it was lovely walking up the marina and looking at the boats and stuff.  Very pretty place and the wind dropped a bit and it is all smooth and glassy and beautiful.  Back in the car and heading south, we stopped on the beach at Batehaven for a cuppa.  Then off again to find somewhere to stay. We drove into Broulee  but it wasn’t appealing.  We were looking for waterfront if possible.  We ended up in a fabulous spot right on the water 7km just north of Moruya beside the airport at Moruya Heads.  Absolute waterfront for us so it was just what we were looking for.  We were able to light the first fire of our trip and use the implement that Billy made to use over the fire.  Was sooo lovely sitting by the water, fire burning and sipping a nice glass of red.  We are very lucky people!

The beauty of this area is outstanding!  Very much like Sandon River in the fact that there is an estuary that runs out into the ocean, then there is the beach side as well, except there is along breakwall perfect for fishing!   Billy tried hard, had a lot of fun, but wasn't lucky this time!
We cooked our first camp oven tonight and it was awesome!  Sundowner’s Chicken Casserole out of the cookbook that Linda gave us for Christmas.  Yumm.

Got up to a lot of action happening around here Saturday morning!  After coffee we walked over to the beach to see what was happening and there was a surfing comp on!  People everywhere!  Knew something was going on.  We walked out the breakwall and watched for a while then back for breaky.  Went in to the Moruya markets this morning and that was nice.  Went for a drive around the area and checked out South Moruya Heads, Toragy Point where there was a really old cemetery, Shelly Beach all in the Eurobadella National Park then checked out Congo.  Great camping at Congo too.  This is a beautiful area with really lovely people and a nice welcome and relaxed energy.  Really like it here.
