We have managed to visit a couple of the attractions so far...
Yesterday we walked the local Sunday markets down on the foreshore and that was HUGE! So many people here! I guess the close proximity to Sydney.
We took the amazing Grand Pacific Drive to take in the Sea Cliff Bridge - that amazing piece of winding highway that meanders out over the ocean. So many gorgeous towns along this road all perched on spectacular coastline! The Sea Cliff Bridge is between Coalcliff and Clifton and is (dare
I say it again) spectacular to say the least!
We also checked out the serenity and peace of the Nan-Tien Buddhist Temple at Berkeley, the largest Buddhist Temple in the southern hemisphere. It is awesome. These guys just have it right. This was quite an emotional experience for me. Loved the serenity, love their beliefs, loved the tranquility and found the place just truly gobsmacking. Mmmm so nice.
From there we headed to Bombo to view Cathedral Rocks. This is just a part of the geologically fascinating coastline around Kiama. We walked down to a place called Bass Point Reserve – Bushrangers Bay – a Marine Aquatic Reserve that is one of the most popular scuba diving and snorkeling spots on the NSW South Coast. Man, that was so tranquil and lovely.
Then it was home to an unusual change in the weather… we had beer-o-clock up at the waterfront again which was lovely but the weather turned really very windy so we are in the van with the awning rolled in and the air-con on! Can you believe it! Blowing up a gale outside! Will sleep well tonight!
