first our old receptionist was a very glamboyant guy. well thats what i at first thought then i reallized he had breasts and an adams apple so that the closest i've seen a ladyboy. next there was a fire show last night which was good had a guy breathing fire then twirling lit flames on a chain. today did our first exercises in water. was under for about an hour. taking off mask making sure we could drop the breathing tube get it back in for air. one more today then time for our first dive.
well finally i am getting into some real water 7 meters so far and 13 later today. seen man fish a 4 foot long stingray nemos blue fish green fish, shrimp , sea urchins all sorts of fish it was amazing. i really feel like i am living on the beach now. diving is so much fun keeping yourself not going up and down with your breahing is fun. one more day.
well now after 3 more dives under my belt i am a padi carrying open water diver. i can go anywhere in the world up to 18 meters. well the last couple dives where no less amazing than the first. seemed like flying. if super man coule only fly really slow thats what diving is like. saw a bunch of fish to many to name but most really colorful and intresting. even the worms and snails underwater are colorful and exotic looking. did some snorkling and got a tan on the beach pretty much another full day. starting to hate bugs(masquitos and ants the most) but hey this is a backpacker island.
went out lastnight to a place with a malaysia reggae band. they somehow made a 80's love song into a reggae hit and then played bob marly mixed with nirvana. this afternoon did my 5th dive and my 1st non-padi dive it was a lot of fun, but had some strong currents. those made it hard to float and would push me around. fun when you are getting shot though the water the water though. also did a swim though which means swimming under a big rock formation, kinda like a tunnel with coral on all sides. banged my tank on the top a couple times but i am still getting used to neutral boyancy in a current. hoping to improve my skills by the time this trip is over.
went out agian last night and saw a strange sight. the club was packed with guys dancing with each other. really going at it and one girl who kept trying to dance with them. they would look over acknollege her them go back to dancing with each other. and not not a gay club its the only bar/club that plays music on the island. also 3 white girls n the floor trying in vain to be polite while stopping some local guys from dancing with them. ok another dive this afternon. it was to the tmple of the sea basically a big mountin in the ocean with coral and fish. saw a huge moray eel like 5 feet long eating fish. a giant pufferfish and 3 small sharks. many more but not gana waste space mentioning all. the islands are great
haha drank with our dutch friend who was leaving last. this afternoon had our last dive on the perhentians which is kinda sad. it was a ok dive. we went to a wrecked ship. not as mang fish but still fun and we got to swim inside of it's cargo hold. visability was bad and currnet was heavy though, last night on the island then to thailand.... for another island. beach life is grand.
