Good Evening:
We are in Vienna. What a drive great views again. Driving along I noticed the snow fences, they are gorgeous why can't we make our walls look like that? The traffic coming into Vienna was awful. Once again we got lost LOL. We came to a street that was no driving and had to turn well..... We found a policeman who was not very polite. He basically said old town, too bad, park and walk. What the Hotel didn't tell us was they were located in the NO DRIVE zone. We finally found it hurrah. Hotel Zur Wiener Staatsoper, try saying that after a few beers. The women checking us in were marvelous. She color coded a map for us to sight see. Gorgeous room, no A/C but again cooler so OK.
We walked down the main no walking area. Tons of pics to follow, great architecture. Dan treated me to Weinerworld for dinner. Yep hitting the Ritz this trip. Actually very good food and not hot dogs. Wein means Vienna so a bit deceptive. We both had healthy food chicken and veggies.
Walking later stopped in a place that looked interesting ,Steak Point great service from Lucia. She gave us a lot of recommendations and directions. Gave me tap water without asking for it. They want you to buy water and very reluctantly give you tap water, (No Ice). She was so friendly and the menu looked so good we will try and return for dinner.
