3 days on the beach in Mission Beach.

I really have pretty much nothing to write about for this stop.  Most people come here to skydive onto the beach, but Ive been planning on saving that for New Zealand.  Or they come to do some whitewater rafting, but Im planning on doing that from Cairns with a friend.

So all I did was read a book on the beach, and take a walk through some rainforest.  Not much, but its always nice to have some downtime.  And it was actually a pretty pleasant little town.  Good bars, good restaurants, reasonable prices.  I may go back sometime.

But for now, its onward to Cairns.

Keeping in touch
Hi Aaron,
It certainly sounds like you are having some great adventures. Your last posting that I could find was 10/17, so I assume either you have no access to the internet, or you are too busy with your adventures that you have no time to make journal entry, or you are tired of writing. All is well here in Connecticut. You probably haven't heard the news, so I'll tell you: Katie and Chris got engaged! They aren't getting married until 2010 because it has to be in the summer (b/c Katie's a teacher and wants to go on a honeymoon) and there wasn't enough time to find a place and do everything Katie wants to do for this celebration. In any event, make sure you make note of the date: July 3, 2010---hopefully, you'll be back from downunder so you can attend. It should be a blast. We haven't been to the city this Fall except for one Sat night a few weeks ago when we took Katie/Chris and Dan/Ally out to dinner in the village and then to a comedy club. Dan is living in the apartment, looking for a job and having no luck whatsoever. Of course, it's a terrible time to be looking for a job in this economy. There have been so many layoffs, especially in NYC. You picked a good time to travel--you're not missing much. Well, go back to doing what adventurers do. I'll keep checking in. Love, Aunt Karen
