This morning we had to wake up before sunrise to get to Puerto Banderas to board another Catamaran to see Spegazzini, Onelli, Bolado, Agassiz and Upsala Glaciers. The only difference was that this cat was umm... Great.

When we started the navigation we saw many beautiful landscapes filled with Mountains, Icebergs and Lenga Forests (the same types of trees as in Ushuaia, all yellow, red and orange shades!!!).

We sail Lago Argentino toward Spegazzini, the tallest continental glacier in the Southern Hemisphere. Pretty impressive! The height of its walls is between 80 and 100 meters. Whilst sailing near this glacier we hit some small ice pieces and the crew had to do something or other to get the cat out!!! Aww... Titanic!
Then we disembarked at Onelli Bay for an 800 meters walk through the lenga forest. We reached Onelli Lagoon where Bolado, Onelli and Agassiz Glaciers flow. Due to the ice slides of these glaciers, the lagoon is full of little icebergs, it's really cool. We stayed here for lunch and got some professional pics done. Another funny thing about this place there is wild cows running around and they are very aggressive to humans! Hehehe... crazy cows!

Then we sail the Northern Arm of the Lake Argentino toward Upsala, the largest continental glacier in the Southern Hemisphere. The height of its walls is between 60 and 80 meters, it has an area of 595 m2, its length is 60 km and it is 5 to 7 km wide. Wow... took so many pictures on the way, there are many icebergs floating around and they are not little I tell you. When we got there the cat can't get too close to it as this glacier is the most active in the area. The whole front can crack off at any time! (Up to 7kms worth of ice). So imagine the icebergs!

We then return to Punta Bandera where our bus was waiting to take us to Calafate.
