This morning we had an early start to catch a bus, not far from N & N, to Narita airport. We have many memories to take with us and also lots of the countryside and rice paddies on the trip to the airport. Japan is not all hustle and bustle, trains, people and Tokyo City. We saw lots of the quiet side too, fitting a lot into our one week.
From Narita we had a 10 hour flight with Finnair so it was an intro to Finland to be served by Finnish crew. As we were in the Exit seat we also a chance to have a good chat with one of the hosties at take off and landing. I didn't even attempt to sleep much as we flew in daylight all the way and between checking out the scenes below of Northern Russia and 3 movies, the time went quickly. My first sights of Finland were the green trees, small farms and the typical reddy brown houses with white trim. A typical Finnish countryside and a twinge of excitement.
It was good to arrive in Helsinki and be greeted by Andrew Kerthy & Zoe. Getting used to late sunsets about 10pm is something else.
