Okay, after a little searching we found the mother and the baby. According to the Marine Biologist very few people ever get to see the mother and the baby together but anyway the photographs do not justice to what we saw. After watching the mother and baby for awhile, it was finally time to head toward Cayo Levontado (Bacardi Island) where our lunch awaits.
As you can see the water here is beautiful. We were served a typical Dominican meal on the island consisting of chicken, rice with beans, salad, two kinds of fish (parrot fish fried whole(yum, yum) and tuna. For dessert we had mango, banana, chinola and a few more fruits.
After looking around the island for a little while, it was time to board the sailboat Esmeralda for our trip back to our bus. They allowed us to sit on the front of the sailboat for the trip back, even the ones that were already burned to a crisp from being in the sun all day(ouch).
We reach our bus and board for the four hour trip home tired but so pleased with all we saw today. We made one stop on the way home to have coffee and Mamajuana (Dominican drink made from honey, rum, tree bark and who knows what else) Now we can rest as the bus drivers tackles the traffic all the way home.
This is definitely a trip that we would recommend to everyone!!!!
