Weather: Cloudy, rain/heavy rain. Start temp 24.5C  End Temp 28.5
As the last day I went to a plantation on the West side of the river. The Oak Alley Plantation.
The house is beautiful both inside and out. The road leading up to the front door of the house is lined with Oak trees. The interior was gorgeous, the furniture and decorating was perfect (see photo's). The tour guides were knowledgeable and could talk off the script. Once the house tour was over you came out to an outside bar where you could get assorted Southern drinks including Mint Juleps. I bought a bottle of water.
Leaving the plantation the sky darkened, once I had gotten past New Orleans and heading North, the Sky's opened and rain poured down. Me of course had my jacket strapped to my luggage and was just wearing my rain jacket. The rain found its way in and I got wet! So, I stopped around 3:30 and took a motel room. An hour later the rain had stopped and the sky beginning to clear. Looks good for tomorrow!
As I said I need my GPS, I turn it on and press the Icon HOME and it plans the route for me. Three days and I should be home :-) looking forward to my own bed.
