First the weather report: I started off from St Ignace and it was a beautiful sunny day!  The only problem was that it was 11.5C !!! COLD. By the time I got to Minnesota it was 23.5C and I was shedding clothes as fast as I could. I can't win.
My GPS this morning told me I would arrive at Itasca State Park (the source of the Mississippi) by 7pm tonight what it didn't tell me was that I would cross into the next  Time Zone which would give me an extra hour and guess what the arrival time was still 7pm which meant an extra hours riding time :-(
Today's ride began with a ride along the north shore of Lake Michigan and then across the U.P. to Lake Superior and I don't have to tell you who have traveled the north shore that it is beautiful! Golden beaches and rocky shores that the lake comes right up to. Duluth WI was rather exciting as I went over Lake Superior and the bridge was modern concrete bridge that curved! Coming down off the bridge was more sweeping curves and all at 55 mph! Loved it!
Talked to a guy at a gas station in the U.P. and he was trying to get non ethanol gas for his bike because he was putting his bike away for winter. I commiserated with him but didn't tell him about my bike trip.
The motel I am staying at has a whirlpool and a sauna guess who partook of both tonight. Feel so much better. Today I rode 700 kms starting at 9:30am and finishing at 7pm so a good day. Tomorrow I have 3 hrs to go to the Itasca State Park and I'll explore around there for the rest of the day.

It's great being on your trip with you. I'm loving every minute of it. Just glad though I'm not riding the motorbike
