On Sunday I headed off to Lake Hauroko near Tuatapere with Blair. Originally I planned on checking out the Clifden Caves, but I don't really have a good enough flashlight (torch). Blair and I ended up taking a walk for roughly three hours up the side of a mountain. Most of the rain didn't make it through the canopy and it finally cleared up just as we got to the top and started heading back down.

Tomorrow I'll start the Kepler Track with Chris. I'll be in the bush for about four days and when I return, I'll finish up my last week at the Luxmore Hotel. I'm ready to leave today actually. I'm quite excited about heading out to Cromwell, Alexandra, or wherever I will end up. The plans are to head into Central Otago for cherry picking for about a month. I have a feeling I won't last that long (since people say it's pretty difficult). Once I'm sick of that I hope to head to Glenorchy to work at Kinloch Lodge (www.kinlochlodge.co.nz). Phil (German from Queenstown) told me about Kinloch and how great it was. After fruit picking it'll just be WWOOFing for a while (Willing Workers on Organic Farms) or a similar program. That basically means that I'll be working on farms, hostels, etc. for accomodation and food. Basically a chilled out existence. :)

What a shock this last week brought with the death of Darrell Abbott. I was going to call Kevin, but I figured he probably knew before me. Dimebag Darrell (1966-2004)

Catch you after Kepler.
