Four months and seven days, all countries in South America except Guyana and Suriname, from Buenos Aires to Caracas and back to Rio and Salvador. I had the time of my life. Many people asked me about the highlights of my trip. That's a difficult question - there were so many - in different categories... nature, people, cities, beaches, food... Well, here are some: Foz do Iguazu, the pampas tour in Rurrenabaque, Salar de Uyuni, Lago Titicaca, Cusco and Machu Picchu, Nazca, nightlife in Lima, Galapagos islands, Cartagena and the Caribbean coast of Colombia, Merida and PN Henri Pittier in Venezuela, Rio de Janeiro and last but not least Salvador and Bahia. But there were many many more. This list is just a list of places - sometimes meeting locals, making new friends, having a great dinner can mean much more and change a place completely.

Hey, if you are reading my travel log and you are travelling yourself you know what I am talking about. If you read it from your PC at work because you are bored and have nothing better to do... hey, wake up... go travelling - see the world! Life is too short just to stare at your flat screen. After an amazing trip you will be back with fully recharged batteries, tons of new impressions, new friends and a travel experience that will enrich your way of life forever. If you think about the things that you are doing every day - which of these do you want to tell your grandchildren about? Think about it. I want to be able to tell them many happy and exciting stories about my life - and this shall include my career as well as many travel stories. Carpe diem! And thanks for reading my travel log.
