We left Amantani and headed to Taquile Island, but the lake water was too rough so we turned toward Puno. Spend this afternoon touring the funeral towers of the Inca and pre-Inca peoples. They are astonishing as they were built without mortar. One tower is 10m in diameter at the bottom and 14m diameter at the top ... no mortar ... incredible. Tomorrow we head off to Cuzco on a 7 hour bus ride ... Will keep in touch.
