Rather impressive, this natural harbor! Although occupied by Portuguese in the 16th century, the architecture of the city creates an authentic feeling of a classical Arabian world.
From the port of Mina Qaboos, the Little Owl drove through Oman's exclusive residential district of Shati Al Qurum, and made a photo-stop at golden domed Zawawi Mosque. Her next stop, the narrow alleys of the Muttrah Souq, didn't hit the mark thought (exotic and fragrant spices and antiques are really not her thing). The same could be said for the private museum Bait Al Zubair: not much to see, really. On the other hand, the Little Owl was fascinated by the official sultan's residence Al Alam Palace that, sparkling with hues of rich blues and gold, oozes luxury and provides lovely views of Muscat Bay. Again, it must be her soul of a princess...
