5. Coral Bay & Exmouth (Cape Range National Park)

Next trip highlight was Coral Bay. Here I got to snorkel for the first time. Both of us stayed in the water until we were frozen. There's also tours you can go on to see whale sharks – but when we went into the shop to enquire, an oxygen tank exploded when it was getting refilled. We didn’t trust them the take us out into the ocean after that, plus it was pricey, so we just stuck to snorkeling around the beach.

Exmouth is just North from Coral Bay and also very popular for snorkeling and fishing. We were planning on staying in the National Park for 3 days and ended up staying 10! This place was amazing.

We camped with a Canadian couple we’d met between Perth & Shark Bay and they got us into fishing. We spent a lot of our days swimming and fishing. The snorkeling was really good too at a beach called Oyster Stacks in the National Park. When I got into the water, I was swarmed by around 100 big silver fish (called Darts) swimming in a circle around me. It felt like being inside an aquarium.

There's lots of things we did in-between, but I think these are the most interesting parts of the trip from May to today :)
