So yes, we think we will help children. Children who are living in a world I cant imagine. I believe we will show love and provide happiness and things to make their life more comfortable. But am I saving the world? I believe it may happen indirectly. By that I mean, that I will learn from them and hopefully bring that home. And change the world from here. One person at a time.

This trip could inspire one of my children to devote hie or her life to foster those ideals. That would be more than I could hope for. My hope for all my children is that they grow to be compassionate to all souls, living close by or a hemisphere away.

Our westernized society has so many advantages to a third or forth world country. But it may be more detrimental to our souls. It is possible to live in the western world and be compassionate and be in the world and not of it. But everyday we are faced with temptations to have more, to do more, consume more, etc.
Perhaps I will learn that all around the world, people are more alike in their souls than they are different.
We shall see . . .
