Today we visited the wall dividing the West Bank and Bethlehem. I got to touch the spot Jesus was born. It was intense. No pictures. My phone died. I will keep the memory in my heart and tell you all about it using google images.

Before bethlehem, we went to a private school here in Palestine that is teaching the students using curriculum from the PA and the IB program. The instruction is in English although Arabic is their first language. Look at the list of recommended apps behind the teacher. Look familiar? Even all the way over here they like to use quizlet! I gave the girl in the video your signed frame.

Then We met with the UNRWA which runs the education for the Palestine refugee camps. These are not camps like you think of for Syrians or Darfur, but since Palestinians have been refugees since 1948 these camps are like small cities.

Then at dinner Sam Bahour (the guy from the Ted Talk) spoke with us about the day to day struggles of the Palestinians. We got to experience it first hand when we were returning from Bethlehem into Ramallah and we had to cross a checkpoint. On the way out, two armed Israeli soldiers boarded our bus and checked passports. On the way back the checkpoint was closed and we had to wait for hours to get back in.
