Sunday -- St. Paul

We asked the concierge at CP for suggestions on places to eat -- limited choices, since it was 8pm on a Sunday -- Subway and another sandwich place had already closed up for the evening. His other suggestion was for Great Waters -- http://www.greatwatersbc.com/ -- another similar bar/restaurant was across the street -- we walked by and discussed which we'd choose -- "Woodpecker (hard cider) on Tap" almost swayed me towards the other, but we went with Great Waters (in the old "Hamm's" building) and sat outside to eat. They had Woodpecker in bottles, so I was good! :-) I had a cup of Wild Rice Soup (excellent!) -- my 'local' Minnesota fare for the evening, and a Steak Sandwich (not excited by the bread) with onion rings. The little guys had grilled cheese and a burger from the kids menu. DH had a bleu cheese burger and reported it to be great. $50 total including tip and my Woodpeckers! :-)

Back in the room, we watched a BBC show we hadn't seen before, Posh Nosh (http://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/poshnosh/) -- entertaining!! It's a short cooking/comedy show. The premise is a working class restaurantress marries into the upper class and they run a posh restaurant. The recipes have unusual verbs like "roughly savage carrots" and "swish in a leek." The ingredients listed are humourously expensive or difficult to get, like "Zimbabwean Pekoe picked under a gibbous moon." DH wants to try some recipes. @@
