Today was a quick but exceptionally hot side-trip to Salamanca.  This is where I studied as a student.  I got some great sweatshirts.  Unfortunately, they are of no use to me now because it is over 100 degrees.

I will now try to download pictures.

HOLA! ¿Que tal?
Mrs. Loomis! I am totally loving the pictures, thank you so much for putting them up, as well as the wonderful stories from all of our adventures! I just read through them! I am currently waiting for Andrea, my host sister, to finish getting ready to go out dancing tonight! Mom, you will be happy to know that there is a girl who takes longer to get ready than me! heehee! My family stay has been AMAZING! Hightlights that I will explain in more detail later include

1. Swimming with a team from Spain, in my bikini....in a Olympic sized pool!
2. Being thrown in a huge fountain the other night after Spain beat France in the semifinals in soccer!
3. Gossiping in spanish and actually knowing what I am saying...

YAY! Cannot wait to talk with everyone about their family stays!

Mom, Dad, Tanner, MacKenzie,

I LOVE YOU! I am really struggling with the whole calling thing-! Must go...no time to edit this, sorry. love you!

infinite hugs

Hi everybody in Spain. Mrs. Loomis we loved the photos you posted. Madison,it was wonderful to read your blog entry. Dad and Tanner left for Omaha this am. Sounds like a tornado went through Omaha last night, and M Phelps and the rest of the swimmers were in the hallways taking cover. We miss talking to you terribly, but are thrilled that you are having the time of your life. Love you much. Mom

Hi from Paula!
Mrs. Loomis, the pictures are great! I can't wait to see more :) Sounds like everyone is having a wonderful time. Jesse says he is definately going back again. I called the Bautista residence and left a message on the answering machine half in spanish and half in english, Santi's mother listened but couldnt understand all of it...so poor Santi tried to play it back for Jesse but accidentally deleted it and he was so sad. I finally contacted them and was able to talk with Santi before he left to Canada. I was sad his visit with Jesse was cut short but Jesse is still having a great time with his family. They have kept him very busy. He has seen alot of wonderful things, tried new foods, and most importantly, made a family connection for life. Oh and I wanted to let you know ~ I knew the bus story had to be him! He loves to sleep, haha. Enjoy the rest of your trip, see you soon. Paula
