My name is Kristina Georgia Snow. I am a high school junior. I haven't seen my dad. No calls, no cards, no presents. I am off to see my dad for the first time in eight years. As I got in his 1992 Geo, which was pink under the primer, we attempted small talk. As we were driving to his apartment I smelled oil in the air. On top of that I can smell his nasty Marlboro cigarettes that he is smoking. I feel like I am going to suffocate with all of the fumes coming my way. As soon as we reach the parking lot to his apartment complex I hurry up and jump out to breathe in the hot humid air.

From the looks of it this place is no castle. Maybe I have made a mistake coming here. But as I was walking up the second flight of stairs I see him, my white knight. He has a hot body, a six pack for abs, a baby face to make the angels sing and a smile. He is so not my type. I went inside and dad told me he had to go to work, he works at a bowling alley. I don’t understand why he can’t take just one day off? Dad offered for me to go with him but I opted out. I would rather just sit here and watch television. But come to find out…….he didn’t pay his cable bill. I travel back to the time when mom and dad were still together. It wasn’t a pretty sight. But I will see where my visit will take me.
