Today Was our last official visit. We went to a school. It was very interesting the staff made us very welcomed. It was interesting to hear the good things they are doing in their school. They had a lot of their teachers come in and show us around. We were videoed and we had lots of photos taken of us. I think they will use this with their students after the Summer vacation. We toured the campus and as schools go it was not much different than our schools. We stayed until lunch time. We drove to a village which had a fish farm and restaurant. This is where we had lunch and we had fresh fish. It tasted wonderful. We had one dish that looked like beef. It was cold and tasted good. When we on the bus to go back. Dr. Wang told us it was donkey.
When we arrived back at the hotel a few of us needed some last minute shopping. We had to wait for an hour because it started raining and then we had a huge storm. After it stopped we went back to the Pearl market. I wanted to get more Jade. We spent a couple of hours walking around. I was able to get a fake designer wallet which is a gift for about 21Yuan.
Jim, Janet, and I did not want Chinese food for dinner so we decided to go to the Outback. I had Alice Springs chicken. The portion was too big for me. I think I am used to the smaller portion sizes here in China. I hope that will continue back in the States. We eat a lot more in the U.S.
We have nothing planned for tomorrow. I think this will be my last entry from China. All we have left to do is pack and get ready to go home. Once I get home I will write a summary entry.
I hope that all of you who have been following my journey have enjoyed my blog and photos.
