My flight was actually quite pleasant, despite the early start. Had to get up at 4 to be sure of making it to the airport in time for check in, but there wasnīt nearly as much traffic as expected, so ended up being one of the first people to check in for the flight. Hereīs where Skyeurope has a definite advantage over the other budget airlines - they have seat allocation! I was able to get a front row seat with loads of legroom, which meant I could sleep properly on the flight. This left me in a refreshingly alert state to further explore the beautiful city that is Budapest, so I took the opportunity to visit a museum or two and spend hours marvelling at previously unexplored areas, like the enormous Margrit island. Appearing on the map as quite a small island in the middle of the Danube, it actually took almost an hour to walk from one end to the other. An oddly restful place in the middle of a city.
