After the taxi driver sropped me off, I carried on cycling, to the east of Lhasa airport. the following few weeks were to prove to be interesting, and challenging.
After a day in the saddle I simply stopped by a river, pitched a tent, ate a meal, and rested. I was surrounded by cows, that came and grazed by my tent! It then proceeded to rain heavily. The cows cleared off, and the following morning I waoke, and walked down to the riverside, where my feet sunk into the mud. I was attempting to get clean , but only got more filthy.
After packing up camp, I carried on East, along a good road, heading for a town, where trouble beckoned in over a weeks time, only after I managed to get to the Gamden Monestary.
The heat in the day was around 35 degreees, so I stopped to rest and sunbath between 2 and 5 pm. The hottest part of the day.
I had truck drivers passing me waving, and curiously looking at me aas I sat shirtless, in the sun, with my stove out, cooking a meal!
A day later I woul arrive at a lake, and needed to cross it! Bike and all
