We had a great day but tired, I will write more later but you might want to see pictures.

Yellowstone is awesome. We went to old faithful first and got lucky with our timing. She goes off approximately eve 93 minutes, when we got there we had to wait about 30. We listened to a park ranger tell about geysers and then we saw the show. Next we drove north on the lower loop to fountain paint pot. There they have many kinds of geothermal features. Some were stinky and kind of ugly, but they were all amazing. Then we drove east to the grand canyon of yellowstone and yellowstone river. We saw the 308 feet water fall and the amazing colors of the canyon. This is where we had our picture taken. On our way there we saw an elk on the side of the road, munching away. From the falls we drove south. At one point we were stopped for a long time. When we finally drove forward we realized there was a huge buffalo right on the side of the road. Everytime people were stopped on the road we knew there was an animal. The hayden valley is full of wildlife. We ended up seeing tons of buffalo (literally, haha). We drove along yellowstone lake and headed home. Lots of time in the car!

How happy you all look. I loved our trip out west in '76. The mountains in the picture always reminded me of the mountains we saw in Switzerlnd.

Love to you all & safe trip.
