Last day (tomorrow we fly back home). We drove pass the Corinth canal (which we have visited already some years ago) to Athens, or to be more precise to Vouliagmeni. I guess it is officially part of Athens, but local people disagree. There are beautiful beaches, but they have entrance fee. Right next to Vouliagmeni beach is small public beach. Water is very shallow so it is good for kids. If you are an animal lover there is small turtle hospital in Glyfada (Third Marina). It is free, but naturally they hope that you make small donation for the animals. It is open only on Saturdays and Sundays, since animals are really wild and naturally scare people. Animals are released after they have received medical treatment and are ready to manage on their own. Most of the injuries are related to fishing or boats running over the turtles.

The whole trip was successful even though strikes and cold weather did not allowed us to do everything we had planned. Greece is definitely much more than Athens and tourist island, so I strongly encourage to drive around and see the sites also in mainland. We have visited Greece already once earlier so that's why we skipped Athens and some other sites like Epidaurus and Corinth canal, which are easy to fit in to this route.
