Well after a long wait the day has finally come to head off on the trip down under and across the border.

The day starts at 5am as with over 700km to drive on the first day, all the daylight is needed. The only benefit for the 5am start is there will be no traffic on the freeway out of the city. The first stop will be Williams in the wheat belt.

From Williams we headed to Arthur River and turned toward Wagin. This is sheep country you can tell by looking around! From there we head to Lake King and then Ravensthorpe. By this time it was time for a break from driving and have a bite to eat. Only 190km to go for the day. A total of 735 km.

Once in Esperance I found myself a new all terrain vehicle. They said it will go anywhere!

Well that is day one over, time for a beer and relax.
