Where I stayed
We arrived at the Hillcrest Inn at Seaside, Oregon about 4pm. The room was clean and decent, had a separate bedroom with 2 beds, as well as a pullout couch in LR. There was a small kitchenette and a view of the ocean from a side window.
After a short recovery, we took a walk downtown and browsed the stores, making sure we picked up a couple pounds of famous salt water taffy. It seemed that every store had it as their specialty, in every flavor imaginable. Candy must be the economic cornerstone of Seaside. When we got hungry we headed to Mckeowns for drinks and appys. It wasn't bad, especially the drinks. When we returned to the hotel a birthday gift of candy and cider champagne was brought to Mom from the innkeepers. We all crashed pretty early, it had been a long exciting day.
