14km, 9km, 10km, 9km... not sure which one is me but doin it and AWESOME! venue

Not doin the relay- not enough people brave enough! Sister that was going to come has an out of town course to attend... other person that said could be interested never got back to me.
So Rhian and I are doing the 10km run- Rhian/ Superwoman wanted to do the 18km but too close to a fitness test she is doing.
I'm happy with the 10km (be good if it was 8km like Waihi as i'd more likely be able to complete it running but 10km is still going to be great- the stunning sceniary will make it all worth it. Have a look at the link. I get the idea from the photos and the run down of the course by someone who has completed it before that its going to be very hard. Normally the Total Sport website gives a number out of ten telling you how hard it is but I haven't seen one for this course. It is for runners and walkers.
All paid and signed up, Wish me luck!
DONE! Was.... great but FRIKEN HARD, very long steep hills, I definitley need to work on leg strength (and weight loss just quietly but obviously) if i'm going to keep these off road runs up. Loved it for the views even though more concentration was used up on getting up the hill. Remembered to drink alot more than the Waihi run which meant no headaches after this one- and wore a hat this time to save the scalp from frying- hot but worth it, no shade - or very little on this run. Happy to do it again next year- was thinking will do the 18km next time but that now depends on what kind of states i'm in then- very hard....
