So I have completed the Tour du Mont Blanc and I have so much to say.  This morning I was clinging to large boulders for my life and panicking as our accompagnateur (guide) helped me down the mountain.  Now I am a clean person again, showered, out of my hiking clothes and feeling great...

I did keep entries in a journal the old school way and will type them up when I get home.

Just to highlight a few of the interesting things.  I'm gonna bullet them and then the blog can be read retrospectively.

-A rescue by a helicopter (not me- don't worry)
-A damaged passport
-Communal beds in refuges
-Great food- so so much cheese
-goats, ibex, sheep, cows and bells of course
-8 hours a day on our feet
-a French man in a too revealing bathing suit
-mountains, glaciers, green grass, blue skies and only one day of drizzle.

I feel sad to be done the hike but glad to not having to walk 8 hours up and down with 20lb on my back.

Someone once told me that I don't have any hobbies .   I said hiking & the outdoors was my hobby.  But now I must say hiking isn't a hobby, it's a passion. I can't wait to explore other mountains in other countries, continents (Andes, Kilimanjaro, Pyrenees....).  I also wanna get back to the alps and see more of them.  This was just a taste.
