Sixteen hour bus journey left us feeling rather feral, but it was a decent enough ride and the food was fab.

Sooo many people, rat gets annoyed just walking the streets!  Beach is full of bodies and parasols,  most of whom are somewhat old, or very young.  Had our first South American McDonalds, it was overpriced and really small, we left only to find a magnitude of superior fast food eateries out a different exit.

MDP is very confusing a vast network of roads, cant work much out, but at least they´re one way.  Walked the crazy, fun filled (re. street entertainment) roads til we found a Tenedor Libre.  Basically a help yourself grill place.  It was amazing and so cheap, was cool to overdose on veggies and salad.  As for the grill, rat didnt know the spanish for any of the cuts of meat so he went without!  I knew the word for sauasage, so that is what I had.   Queues for restaurants were crazy, we were lucky enough to get a table, but as we left the queues were about 5 to 10 metres for most places!!

Evening declined afterwards though, don´t seem to be a lot of drinking dens.  We did find somewhere, but these three Argentinian fellas asked us for beer, and then found out we were British and started talking about how they dislike France and England.  We went back to hostel.

Hostel Peragamino was alright, guide books are quite nasty about it, but we were supplied with fresh soap and towels every day, and that was enough to please me,   However it was lucky our night did end abruptly as through the night an extra three people tried to sleep in our room, as they´d overbooked the place!!

Following day we went to see the sea lions, however after about an hour we realised that we´d rather underestimated the distance.  we did get to walk along a rocky, beach side path with the odd surprise around the corner.  One such surprise was an old, podgy fella lying down, legs akimbo revealing his family jewels.  Not a pretty site.  Hundred metres further on we realised we may have made another error, as we encountered various men  exercising in tiny briefs.  We departed at the next set of steps!

Then we came across a beach with loads of chica´s.  It was phenomenal!!  We had wondered where they all were and here´s the answer!  Bikini bottoms here are incredibly tiny!

That evening was a far better night.  Started with a three course meal, bottle of wine, and two pints for less than 6 quid for the two of us.   Then a few beers at the Robin Hood pub and a taxi ride to Chocolate club at 1.30am.  Loads of people were hanging around, but no one seemd to enter, we thought balls to that, so tried to get in.  It wasn´t yet open.  We shamefully retreated.  Then all of a sudden at 2am everyone formed a queue.  We werent quite prepared so ended a fair way back, fortunately some fellas came up to us and let us join them in the queue nearer the front.  They then got us in cheap and shared some of their vile drinks with us!  Nice people and a good club. commercial music in the main room, techno in another and chill out in another.  Got home at 6ish and fell asleep sharpish.

Seashell museum was a decent enough activity the next day.  Some fella called Bejamin collected them throughout the world, also a small aquarium with some rays and a shark in.  After not pooing for a few days, I proceeded to excrete about a stone today, one of these sessions was at the museum, and was very relieving.  Rat seems to have given up pooing during the day, and instead saves it for when we are out in the evening.  This is annoying for me as I have to sit around on my own for ages.  Smoking is banned from Bars and clubs in Buenous Airies, so I end up waiting rather a lot for the Ratty one.  I imagine it is a pain for him as well though!

Anyway, enough toilet talk, instead let me share with you our chinese Tenedor Libre experience.  It had steak and chips and potatoes and pizza and sausages.  There was also a rice dish and a noodle dish (of which the locals didnt seem to want to try!).  Ruddy fantastic.  I love Tenedor Libres.
