Where I stayed
Kerti Beach Inn
Back on the Backpacker circuit now, leaving those package places behind. Chatted to a fair few peeps on the bus, including a load of Brits (unusual for Bali) Two of them had been travelling for five months as well, and had similar thoughts to us about home and asia.. One was a surfer welsh guy who we saw numerous times after, the other a freckly Oriental looking diver girl, who complained that Indonesians said Kanincha-wa to her..
Now Ben and Jnr have gone we no longer have to lord it up, so plumped for cheaper housing (Kerti Beach Inn)- semi oudoor bathroom and the like - Its wicked!! Breakfast delivered to our downstairs living area - phenomanal!!
As for the village/town/port its a bit scummy, only really a stopover to break the journey, but was pleasant enough - Its a fishing village, but was not all that happy when I saw a catch that consisted of about five, two to three metre sharks.... Especially when we went snorkelling in those waters!! Luckily no shark hassle, but there was the biggest Trigger fish I have ever seen, and hope I ever do see!
Tried for a night out on the lash, but unsurprisingly it was tamer than a doped dog, so after two beers we headed home.
