Im now in Noosa until Sunday. The flight up was pretty straight forward, i had to change planes in Melbourne which game me a great view of Melbourne city from the sky. It's great to see my family again. Today i havent really done much, just sat about and enjoyed having nothing to do after all the preparation last week.

Tomorrow ill go down to the beach and hopefully get a few last waves. It has been raining since i got here but the temperature is warm at around 26 degrees. I must remember before i leave to buy a waterproof casing for my backpack - i have bad memories of catching a bus in Thailand, i had to put my backpack in the bus' undercarriage like normal with all the other luggage. When i arrived in Singapore i got my backpack out only to find someone had put a bag full of fish on top of my pack. All was good until i noticed that all the juices from the fish bag had soaked through into my pack! Not even a full bottle of after shave and a can of lynx could rid the smell of 2 day old non frozen snapper!

So saturday i will be on the search for some backpack casing and some thongs (and for all the British reading this - thongs are flip flops!!)
