Moose Watch 2007 has begun with me spotting 7 moose (mooses, meese??) on the train from Hamar to Rørøs and back again. I havent gotten a chance to take a photo yet let alone ride one so Blake and I will still be aiming to fufil that challenge when he arrives in Europe.
As for Rørøs it was beautiful. I wandered around the church which was built in the 1770s I believe, the slag heaps, mining museum and the art and craft stalls and cafes. And though it was a chilly minus 20 odd degrees I quickly got accustomed to the cold and I am glad to say the Kathmandu thermals held up quite well.
Tomorrow (Friday, also incidentally Australia Day) I am going to school with Tjord, Wenche's son. That should be interesting so I may have to think up some stories about Australia and I have very few props but Im sure it will all be fine.
That's about all I have to say for now. Again I wish I was able to include my photos with this post as I took about 100 on the journey and in Rørøs today, as well as some video with some pretty poor commentary by me, but I have to wait until Blake gets here to figure out how to do that.
Until next time, Happy Australia Day to everyone and I will speak to you all again soon!

Moose Body Count
Hi Amy
Happy Australia Day! Does Scandanavia have a moose holiday road toll? I think of moose as cows on steroids so is it really the moose who know if someone is silly enough to crash them, they will be in deep shit?
Ben
PS: Good to know Kathmandu gear is holding up strong in an hour of need
Meeses
I like to eat meeses to pieces apparently they taste like Kangaroo, best cooked rare.
Do they eat moose in Norway?
How was the school trip did you come up with any whoppers?
