Hey yall. Just a quick update of Washington as we are in Miami bitches and cant really be bothered writing too much.  Too much beer to be consumed and swimming in the sun to be done.

Day 1

We arrived in Washington from our 4 hour bus trip from NYC where we stayed in Manhattan the night before.  Again a bloody heat wave! Record temperatures so we couldn't be bothered with public transport and caught a taxi to the motel.  Didnt do much that night.  Just had some subway and beers and watched shells ex team mate play the USA on ESPN in the softball world cup.

Day 2

Jesus it was hot.  We had a 20 minute walk to the White House which was pretty cool too see.  Security is amazing and it was scary to think how many people would be watching you from buildings with snipers.  Secret servicemen were everywhere so you felt pretty safe.  We then went to the gift shop where we spent 10 bucks so got to have some photos in front of a replica desk and podium.  We looked stupid but did it anyways.  After that we walked to the Washington Mall where they have all monuments, museums and the capitol building.  We were a bit disappointed to see that the reflecting pool in front of the Lincoln memorial was undergoing renovations so it was just dirt (this is the place that Jenny runs across in Forrest Gump when he is doing his speech).  It was really hot and there were no fountains around.  We walked up to the capitol building after checking out the Washington monument then all the way up the other end to the Lincoln memorial.  On the way to the capitol building we sat down at a statue garden where there was a massive water fountain.  We were just thinking how good it would be to go swimming in there when a security guard come over and said it was okay to dip our feet in so that was good.

Also on  the way we ran into a crazy French? Guy who had this massive camera and wanted me to take photos of him.  He was acting like a model and was saying "keep clicking, keep clicking".  We then ran into him later and he returned the favour.  He took about 20 photos of us from all angles.  Pretty funny.  We felt like supermodels. Which if you look at the photos you will notice we are!

We walked back in the heat and we were a bit dizzy and tired.  A bit dehydrated for sure.  Just got a large pizza and beers for tea.  And when we say large it was the size of a tv for 8 bucks.

Day 3

We were still buggered so didn’t do anything today.  Just had the free breakfast with all sorts.  Except there were cats walking around the breakfast area which didn’t impress us much especially Alex who is allergic to them.

We just chilled out watched some movies.  Casino and Hancock.

Then decided to head back to the mall at night.  It was so much better and the WWII, Korean war and Lincoln Memorial were stunning.  Pretty cool.  It is such a massive statue of him.  I didn’t really know much about Lincoln before I came here but he was just an amazing man.

Day 4

We were up early and caught the subway to the airport for a 11am flight to Charlotte where we would connect to Miami.

Alex “umm i think you mean hydrated”

Just chilling in Miami today after a busy and fun couple of days with Foxy and Butler freeloading on their 4 and a half star hotel in South Beach.   We felt a bit dirty being there.  They had a chandelier for a shower in their room!  Dont know what the plans are after Miami maybe Orlando or Tampa.  See how we go.
